Recognition of sample quality eases further processing
 
The Quality Module QS I is an outstanding innovation. It is a system for classification and evaluation of the quality of centrifuged serum samples. In order to recognize the tube type geometrical data like tube height, cap height, cap width as well as cap colour will be checked and via pre-defined requirements the tubes will be allocated. Moreover through the analysis of the recognized serum window the volume of the material will be calculated. At the same time the system will assess if the sample contains hemolytic, lipemic or icteric material. The system comprises the image processing unit and mechanical components for tube handling.

• Tube Type Identification via Cap Recognition
• Control of serum regarding to the quantity and quality of the usable serum for aliquoting
• Decrease of consumable costs by using generic pipetting tips (non-conductive) (provided that a RSA Pro is connected)
• In case there is not enough serum, pipetting priorities will be given
• Elimination of identified defective samples from further processing is possible
• The rate of measurement errors in the analytical phase will be reduced
