History

PVT has consistently blazed the trail from the first individual systems all the way to the comprehensive complete solution. Today, the laboratory systems for frontend and backend automation from PVT are world leaders. Right from the beginning, we have always looked at the laboratory as a whole, beyond the individual workplace. An indispensable factor: the automation and optimization of the sample and data flow in frontend and backend automation. One of the first milestones in the development of our company since its founding in 1991 was the VS 250 sample distributor. A system which has proven itself internationally even up to the present. In 1996, we began work on a fully new generation of pre-analytic systems, the aliquoting system VS II.

In addition to the development of hardware, software has also become an important core component for PVT. The software solution Silver Server centrally controls the pre-analytic data flow in the laboratory and thereby improves the sample flow. In 1998, we presented another milestone for laboratory automation, the QS I sample quality system. It was the world’s first market-ready system for automatic quality recognition (relating to lipemia, hemolysis and icteria) from primary samples. In the following years, we succeeded in introducing the sorting systems RS 800 and RSD 800 – devices which can intelligently sort samples and selectively open them. The hematology sorter TS-1000, which can be fully integrated in the HST process of the Sysmex company, completes the offering for sorting systems.

Today, Roche PVT is working on the laboratory systems that will create the technological progress to guarantee your success tomorrow.
